SERVICES
The services we can provide are focused around Italian or Asian manufacturing specializing in optical design. Creating a pair of spectral frames is a 3 step process DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT and MANUFACTURING.
DESIGN
Our designers start with designing by hand, they start by sketching a shape, and then will scan and convert it into a digital format using a computer aided device. Once a design is approved, designers may revisit it again to make any needed modifications. Evaluation plays a huge role to ensure that our designs are perfect.
Development
The development process is when the design is studied, tested and engineered for fit and construction. At this phase of the process the concept moves in to a physical form or prototype. When designs are complete a designer then sends their drawings and design instructions on their choice of colors and materials to our development team. The drawings are then reviewed and they convert their designs into technical drawings that can move to tooling.
MANUFACTURing
There are multiple ways to manufacture sunglasses. Injection molded sunglasses have a high up front cost with lower unit cost. Injection molded sunglasses are meant for high volumes. Frames are generally made of plastic, nylon, a metal or a metal alloy. Sunglasses can be manufactured via Injection molding or hand made acetate each process requires different methods.
